Woodturner’s workshop. Manual, not by machine.

Stefan Fink’s workshop is one of the last traditional woodturning studios in Germany.
Working entirely to his own designs, he creates each of his writing instruments and objects by hand on the lathe – without CAD, without AI, and without any form of machine-made preproduction. Every piece is turned freehand, guided by eye, intuition, and the practiced precision of the hand.
Alongside the classic tools of the woodturner, the process demands something rarer still: mindfulness, patience, and the perfect harmony of thought and movement – the full mastery of an experienced craftsman.

In 2018, the art of woodturning was recognised by UNESCO as part of the world’s Intangible Cultural Heritage, helping to preserve this increasingly rare craft and keep it alive.
Visitors to the showroom are welcome to step inside Stefan Fink’s workshop – a rare opportunity to witness how his writing instruments are born, and to experience the quiet rhythm of a craft that unites precision with poetry.
